Builders in Cinderford
Our yard is on Eastern United, right here in town, so Cinderford isn’t a job we drive in for. It’s where we start every day. Extensions, groundworks, renovations and roofing on the terraces, hillside streets and estates that make up the town.
Building in Cinderford
Terraces on the hill, estates on the flat
Cinderford grew up around the collieries, and a lot of the town still shows it. Rows of Victorian and Edwardian terraces climb the streets around the centre, narrow frontages, small yards, steps up from the pavement, and a shared wall with the house next door. Further out, there are newer estates with driveways, cavity walls and more room to work in.
The two need different things from a builder. On the older streets it’s about getting materials in without blocking the road, working around a party wall properly, and keeping a stone or brick frontage looking right. On the estates the access is easier, but the jobs are often bigger, a full extension or a knocked-through kitchen.
We’re currently partway through an extension in Cinderford, and we take on groundworks, renovations and roofing across the town just as often as new additions.

Our yard is here
Not a van journey away, already in town
Most builders factor in a drive before the working day even starts. We don’t. Our yard on Eastern United, Ruspidge, is inside Cinderford, so a site visit, a forgotten fitting or an extra bag of cement costs us minutes, not a wasted half hour on the road.
It also means we can usually turn a quote around faster here than anywhere else we cover, and get back out quickly if something needs a second look once work is underway.

Common questions
Cinderford, answered
We’re genuinely based here. Our yard is on Eastern United in Ruspidge, inside the town, so Cinderford jobs aren’t a special trip for us. It’s where we start the day from.
Yes, though it takes planning. A lot of Cinderford’s terraces have narrow frontages, steps up from the pavement and nowhere to park a wagon. We normally hand-carry materials the last stretch and time deliveries for the road, rather than assuming a lorry can pull up outside.
Usually yes. Work on or near a shared wall normally needs a party wall notice to your neighbour before you start, separate from planning permission. We’ll flag it early if your job needs one, so it doesn’t hold up the start date.
Both. We have an extension under way in town, but we take on everything from a garden wall to a full renovation. If it’s building work, it’s worth asking.
Faster than most, because we’re not driving in from out of area. Being based on Eastern United means we can often fit in a same-week site visit for anything in town.
